Meth And Redman Speak Out Against High Child Support
Child support is a great thing. For the most part, it makes men take care of their financial responsibility to a child they supposedly created, or atleast it attempts to. However, child support is far too often abused on the side of money hungry black women, and women in general for that matter. Just because a dude bust in you doesn’t mean he should have to pay for you to have a better life. Yup.
I know a LOT of women who chose to sleep with niggas who just weren’t shit. They dudes already had kids that they obviously didn’t support, yet the women still chose to let the dude fuck them….RAW. However, no matter how dumb a woman is, that’s no excuse for a dude to run out on his responsibilities. After all, can’t a man just give up his parental rights and be done?
Anyway, I have no problem with a woman getting half of her money back for what it take to raise a child, NONE AT ALL. At the same time, this recent rumor of rapper Nas having to pay his ex-wife and baby’s mother, Kelis, $55,000 a month is ridiculous. I could write a damn book on how dumb that is, but I’ll just let yall listen to Meth and Red.
LMAO @ Redman saying $5,500 a month is too much. The problem is that Nas is going to take care of his child regardless (well atleast I hope). So why can’t Nas just buy what the child needs? Why does he have to pay the mother? He needs full custody or something.
Let him buy her a house, I already know she has some cars, and just buy the baby what the baby needs. Get that bill shit out of here, because she would have to pay the lights and gas regardless if she had a child or not.
I’m so mad at this, and many other cases like it, that I can’t even get my thoughts together. For $55,000, I could go to Russia and get a hitman to end all of this drama. I wouldn’t, but darn it, I could.
I wanna give a big THANK YOU and show much love to all of the beautiful black women out there who don’t go to the court for child support as long as their baby’s father takes care of his child like he should: emotionally and financially. I don’t have any kids, don’t want any kids, and this is another reason why. I’m getting a vasectomy and a pre-nup.
EDIT: New info. Rogers will receive $30,471 in spousal support per month; the couple’s son will receive $9,027, according to the court records. Rogers gave birth to the boy, named Knight, at a New York hospital Wednesday. The 29-year-old filed for divorce from the rapper in April. The couple was married in July 2003.

So that's the case of your woman having money…….and you having WAY MORE. I mean, there should be a legal cap on how much a woman/man should get. If the person paying wants to give more, then fine. I'm not sure how much it takes to raise a child, but I'd assume in any state, it should never be more than $5,000 max. Even with the highest private school tuition, clubs, sports, nanny's, etc….. The cap should definitely be 10k though. No matter of it's Ricky or Bill Gates.

I think 55k is too damn much as well but i will be honest…5k may not be enough in some places. Any decent nanny in NYC will cost you 2k min. That is if you need a nanny. Last I heard, Kelis wasnt in the study too much.

Ok once again my arrangement for child support is COURT ORDERED. Each state has different laws for child support. I can not just waltz in there and say this is what I want & automatically receive it. It does not work that way & there is nothing I can do about the amount I receive so yes I am grateful for it, some mothers receive NOTHING. so until your in my situation there is nothing you can say about it PERIOD.

I JUST WANT TO SAY AS A FEMALE WITH 3 KIDS 14, 11 & 9 $55K IS TOO MUCH. YES IT COST TO RAISE CHILDREN, BUT THE RESPONSIBILITY IS SHARED BY BOTH PARENTS. I JUST RECENTLY DROPPED A CHILD SPPORT CASE FROM MY OLDEST KID'S FATHER BECAUSE WE HAVE A UNDERSTANDING THAT OUR CHILD HAS TO BE SUPPORTED. I ALSO WONT TAKE MY OTHER TWO KIDS FATHER TO COURT BECAUSE I FEEL LIKE I DO NOT NEED THE COURT TO TELL THIS MAN TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR BOTH CHILDREN. I BELIEVE THAT KELIS WILL BE USING THIS MONEY FOR HER UPKEEP NOT THE CHILD. JUST REENTLY SHE SAID THAT SHE IS BROKE. WELL I ADVISE HER TO LEARN TO TURN TRICKS OR SOMETHING BECAUSE THE RESPONSIBILITY TO RAISE A CHILD FALLS ON BOTH PARENTS. NOT JUST THE ONE WITH THE MOST CASH. IT WAS REPORTED HE ONLY BRINGS IN ABOUT OVER A &100K A MONTH. THATS A LITTLE MORE THAN HALF. SOME COURTS REQUIRE THAT A FATHER PAY A MINIMUM OF 20% OF THE INCOME. I thought that the $55,000 was child support plus alimony. Besides that his career is as big as hers right now (sigh) so she knows that it is extremely too much. Plus, on top of that he has to pay all of her medical bills from the pregancy. I still think that is too much. I am greatful for the 200 I get every month for my child. I mean the first 13 years are hard because the kids are trying to explore which sport or activity that they want to be in. Even tho' my child is just 11, I mean its starting. That money is just for her. So I make it work. I do not want to go to court back and forth to try and get more from her father because I feel that it's useless. I'm not a money hungry mother. So whatever the money that he gives don't provide that's where this working mother fills the gap.
Sorry Nas, the system can be harsh on our brothers!

How might I want to reevaluate myself because I get $90 every two weeks? No it is not nearly have my daughter's expenses however it is better than getting $0 which some mothers have to deal with. In my state they can not take more than 40% of his income so he went & got a little minimum wage paying job so that I wouldn't get anything. My point in saying that is to show that there are mothers out there that are not money hungry & raise the child on their own income without the help or the little help they do receive. So please know what your talking about before you make a statement.

Child support is a funny thing, some men have to be forced to provide for their children. All I asked my son's father to do is to help me with him. I tried to set up support between us and not involve any agency. he decided to spin me around and avoid my calls afterward, ao I took it to court. Mind you my son was 10 before I took him then he didn't even show up. i didn't even want to take him because I can care for my son myself but then I thought why should I have to.

look the truth of the matter is there should be more regulations in place like a third of the money is to be added to a cd account that she cant touch further more all money must b in the form of baby clothes sneakers enfamil and anything else baby sized lol and all he should have to do is bring her the receipts of the bank statement that the baby got money in the bank and the other receipts to prove the baby has just what he needs at all times i mean kanye west said it the best (nigga paying child support for 18yrs ….18yrs and he found it wasnt his, momma suppose to be spending tyco for the money found out she went to go get geico wit ur money) so plz as black females we need to get it together cause i would tell u rite now if i was in that predicament i would have nothing against everything him bringing for the baby i dont need to see the money

i have two kids and i refuse to take my kids father to court. he pays for half of everything they need as well as takes them every other weekend. i always have people in my ear tellin me to take him to court but i dont see why i should have to. if hes takin care of his part then were all good. its taken us a while to get to the agreement were at now but it works for both of us … it all about communication and whats right for THE KIDS.

Fact is…he loves his boy so,
If NAS treated the child like a prince:
1. Putting him in a special expensive private school
2. Buying the child very expensive clothing
3. hired an expensive nanny (so the mother can continue to tour and perform)
4. Don’t forget private tutoring
5. special costly trips
6. the boy may, I said may, have special medical needs
etc etc etc
The amount was based on how much the couple was spending on the child before divorce. Period.

I was forced to make my kids dad pay child support. I didnt want to at first because i thought he couldnt afford it. But im actually happy he has to pay now because he wasnt helping out with anything. But he could afford a eighth. My whole thing is id rather have him spend time with my son than to be forced to pay child support. But a part of me feels like a mother should beable to treat her self with some of the child support money. Well after the child has everything for the month. Anyways taking care of a child full time with no help you could treat your self for all the work you do. This only applys to the good responsible mothers. But i only get 46 dollars a month its not much but its something and im the type of person that puts my child first before myself. Id be naked and happy as long as my child has clothes.
